Do you ever get stuck eating the same thing and have no idea what other “healthy” options there are? Do you need to lose weight and dont know what to eat?
When my clients fall off the wagon with their nutrition, I have them log their food for a few weeks so I can see where they are falling short. They usually say they are eating “good”, but when I see the logs I find whole wheat bagel for breakfast, sandwich on whole wheat bread for lunch and whole wheat pasta for dinner. Holy Moly! Way too much whole-wheat!

Just this week I was checking a clients food log and I saw way too much whole-wheat so I asked her to only have a whole wheat product once per day! Oh my gosh…… she flipped out! What am I supposed to eat then? What other carbohydrates can I eat in order to lose weight? As if whole wheat was the only “healthy” carb. Actually it is not the most optimal, and if you want to lose weight, then you should limit it and have other carbohydrates instead.
So that you don’t flip out also, here is a list of carbohydrates that are good for you.
Healthy Carbs to help you Lose Weight
• Sweet potato
• Baked potato
• Garbanzo beans
• Kidney beans
• Fava beans
• Navy beans
• Cannelini beans
• Quinoa
• Brown rice
• Brown rice pasta
• Oatmeal
• Blueberries
• Strawberries
• Blackberries
• Raspberries
This list should give you plenty to choose from. Now all you have to do is combine a carbohydrate with a protein and a vegetable and you’ve got a fat burning meal! This is how to lose weight. If you eat this fat burning meal every 3-4 hours you will begin to drop those pounds of fat.
