I know how important it is for you to look your absolute best on your wedding day. When my husband, Danny, proposed in December 2005, I immediately began to think about what I would look like in my wedding dress. Of course, at that very moment, I decided to commit to eating and exercising consistently in order to look my best on my wedding day. I know you are thinking, yeah Michelle, whatever, easy for you…….you are a trainer. Which is true, my friend, but I went through everything you are going through. I was working full time, planning a wedding, buying a house, painting and furnishing a house, moving in to a house, and trying to keep sanity. And the only reason I was able to do it was because I gave myself ample time to reach my goal, and I had a plan.
If you don’t have a plan, you will end up doing some sort of a crash diet. You will begin to lose weight, but you will be miserable, because most likely you are starving yourself and over exercising. My friend, there is no need for that! You want to be able to look your best on your wedding day, but you also want to be able to maintain it thereafter. So let me give you 7 steps that will help you be a FIT BRIDE!
1. Figure out how many hours per week you can dedicate to exercise.
2. Schedule workouts in your planner or organizer.
3. Commit to those hours of exercise on a consistent basis.
4. Choose a day to do your weekly groceries, to ensure you have the right foods available.
5. Choose 2 days per week in which you will do some bulk cooking. This way you can have it available for the week.
6. Commit to your weekly grocery shopping and cooking on a consistent basis.
7. Each evening, plan the following day to ensure you have meals available and time set aside for your workouts.
This is the key to success! If you can take control of the 7 step above all you have to do is make sure you make the right choices.
