Cardio is going to play a big part in your wedding exercise routine. Though cardio is important in weight loss, weight-training is important part of your wedding fitness plan because it is the only way to get defined and toned.
I understand why it’s hard for people to do cardio sometimes…..I mean…….1 hour on a treadmill cannot be very fun! So here are some tips to help make your wedding exercise routine more effective and not so daunting.
Cardio Tips for your WEDDING EXERCISE ROUTINE:
• Do a different type of cardio every time.
• Types of cardio: Jogging, running, elliptical, stair climbing, stair master, skating, jump roping, cycling, Spinning, aerobic classes, boxing, kickboxing, swimming, etc…..
• Vary the duration of cardio: 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes.
• Depending on the duration, vary the intensity: the shorter the duration, the more intensity is needed.
• Perform interval training for cardio: this is more effective, it will prevent breaking down muscle, and will create a higher post-workout caloric burn.
• Examples of interval training: Each interval is a work:rest ratio. The first number is the number of seconds of high intensity work, the second number is the number of seconds of lower intensity (rest). EX: 30s:30s, 30s:60s, 30s:90s
• Perform cardio after weight-training workouts for a more effective caloric burn.
• Listen to your favorite music……it really helps!
• Take the time that you are performing cardio to pray, meditate, think, relax…….use this for “you” time!
I hope these tips help you increase your cardio so that you will begin to see more lbs of fat drop. Now, don’t forget that in order to get that tight and toned look in your arms and thighs, it is imperative that you start a weight-training program.
