I love Sundays......It's family day!
Danny (my hubby), Nicholas (my son), and I go to church every sunday! Our church is POTENTIAL CHURCH, its awesome! There is nothing more inspiring than starting the week with a great message.
Yesterday the Pastor opened up the service by saying "You are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with". I thought that was so true, yet some people surround themselves with negative people that do nothing but bring them down.
Many years back I made the decision to only surround myself with people that nourish my life! By this I mean; people that are positive, spiritual, successful, hard working, loving, caring, intelligent, humble, happy, and healthy. I have very little free time, so the little time that I have to spend leisurely I will only spend with people that are AWESOME!

This got me thinking about all the Post-Partum women who I speak to all the time who are miserable because they are overweight, have no energy, and feel horrible about themselves.
Do you think these women surround themselves with AWESOME people??? (Let' call Awesome people, those who nourish our lives). No!
They hang out with other moms that sit around eat junk, don't exercise, and and are always in a bad mood. These people also tend to be the type that complain about their miserable lives......they don't sleep, the kids are so bad, they work so much, they can't stand their spouse, and the list goes on........... What more can you expect by surrounding yourself with people like that??
It's hard to be a mom, I'm learning that right now. Yes, its a struggle sometimes. Yes, its a juggling act. Yes, you are tired. But if you see it all in a positive light, it makes it much easier and even enjoyable!
I surround myself with women who are positive, happy, successful, and healthy. We take walks with the babies, we make healthy meals to share together, or we eat out a nice healthy lunch, we take the babies to baby gyms. It just makes you be a better person to surround yourself with AWESOME people!
So if you feel like you are in a rut, if you feel unhappy with yourself, if you are overweight and you don't want to be, if you are cranky all the time, if you lack energy......take a good look at the 5 people that you spend most of your time with. Maybe its time to do some inventory with your friends.
Start hanging out with women that live healthy lives, that work out, that eat healthy. Surround yourself with women that empower you to be better, that push you beyond your limits....(in a positive way). Spend time with women that are intelligent and successful. Hang out with women that are positive and happy all the time. Surround yourself with women that are grateful!
And when you start doing this, you will get leaner, happier, stronger, you will have more energy and you will be a part of the "AWESOME PEOPLE". And then you will be a positive impact on other women too!!!
