Why is it that people have such a hard time finding a way to eat healthy snacks?

Do they not plan for it?

Do they not commit to it?
-
Do they not have time for it?
-
Do they not know what to make or eat?
I have to say its probably a little of all of the above!
First of all, most people don't buy in to the fact that eating often speeds metabolism and helps burn more calories. So since they believe that more meals equals more calories, they only eat 1-3 meals a day!
Big Mistake!
Everything you do takes energy. When you use up energy, you are BURNING CALORIES. The process of digestion burns a lot of calories. Especially if you eat THERMIC MEALS consisting of lean protein, starchy carbs and fibrous vegetables.
Anyhow, when you do buy into this, then you have to plan and commit to it! I have a client that sits on her desk and stares at her protein shake sitting in front of her everyday but she doesn't drink it. Seriously, she even tells me that she looks at it everyday.
Why doesn't she just drink it?
She doesn't because she hasn't committed to the plan. When you COMMIT, you EXECUTE! But you have to want it bad enough.
Its never a time thing, because if you are prepared, it doesn't take any extra time to eat a muffin while you wait in line to pick up the kids from school, or while you are replying to emails, watching TV, doing the groceries, cooking, etc. And I say this because I have eaten my muffins as a snack as I drive, cook, get dressed, work on the computer etc. And if I can do it so can you, because my dear friend, I am no different than you are! I just WANT IT!
