How many times have you been following an eating plan and all of a sudden you OVER INDULGE for a meal, and instead of getting right back on the wagon and having a clean meal following, you say SCREW IT! And you keep eating poorly for the following meals.
And then...................... You just can't keep it together! You just can't get motivated to get back on track because every time you go to make a decision on a food, you just say "SCREW IT". And POOF, 10lbs extra and can't fit in your jeans, it happens so fast.
I mean, you already screwed it up, you'll just keep eating poorly! You'll start on Monday or after the Holidays or after that party or after the kids...........whatever...............
And then..................... Exercise?
For what? SCREW IT! You are already eating poorly, why even exercise? You're not going to get results, you just screwed up your diet!
You'll just start later.
Sound familiar?
Don't feel bad! We have all gone through this syndrome at one point (or many lol) in our lives.
But I just DON'T GET IT!
Today, I'm going to share with you my train of thought, how I feel about this "SCREW IT" syndrome, and how I deal with it. My hope is that it will change your MIND SET, and help you get back on track when you fall off the wagon because then you will get much BETTER RESULTS!
When I make a poor decision with food, first of all, I truly enjoy it, without making myself feel bad about it or punishing myself for it. Too many people, beat themselves up for having a "cheat meal" and you think about it and you think about it and you count calories and what happens is you don't really enjoy it, so then you feel like you need to eat something else, to maybe find the pleasure in it, but you beat yourself up again......and the vicious cycle goes on!
So first of all: ENJOY YOUR "CHEAT"
When I eat something "bad", after I enjoy it, I make sure that my next meals are PERFECTION! Super clean, super healthy and super yummy. I actually make a conscious thought and decision of what I am going to eat for my next few meals.
This gets me in the right mind set and it helps me by getting me prepared.
You just have to get rid of that old "SCREW IT" mentality. Cuz its simply a CHOICE you are making. All you have to do is REPROGRAM your brain to say....... after a "bad" meal, my next few meals will be super clean.
I promise this will help you, this will become the new way you think, and you will STOP saying "SCREW IT".
EXERCISE!
Too many people don't GET STARTED on an exercise program because they keep saying "SCREW IT". They think, they are eating so bad for what reason are they going to exercise!
I just don't get it! For What? What do you mean for What?
You could burn a ton of calories in 1 workout even if its one workout a week. That could amount to a few pounds of fat lost in a month.
And not only that, but working out will then help get you in another mental state, a more positive one, a healthy one. And maybe then you will be more motivated to EAT BETTER!
Don't allow yourself to get into the vicious cycle.
You only have 30 minutes to workout so "SCREW IT" you just won't do it! For What? What will you get accomplished in only 30 minutes?
What do you mean?
In 30 minutes you can burn 300-500 calories! That's a lot.
It's a heck of a lot better than if you stayed on the couch doing nothing.
Those 30 minutes can get you one step closer to your goals.
Do you get it now? Do you get what I'm saying?
No more "SCREW ITS" ladies! Please.
You can do this.
Whether its a clean next meal or a 20 minute workout that you do from home or a 15 minute run with your kids. Whatever it is, as little as it is, its better than not doing anything.
So take this as the new SCRIPT IN YOUR HEAD. The NEW way you THINK and ACT!
And I PROMISE..................
You will get much better results!
