I just uploaded a NEW VID on My MMF Pregnancy Fitness YouTube Channel about "Growing Pains". You know those days when your body starts changing and growing so fast that you are un sure if you are loving it or hating it. It made me start thinking of how much better I feel when I am exercising.

Pregnancy is no walk in the park. I have had the experience of an easy breezy pregnancy in which I had tons of energy, no pregnancy symptoms, worked out until the day before labor and felt amazing. Then (now 18 weeks), I had the experience of having a not so easy pregnancy.

Though pregnancy is no walk in the park and we often feel nauseous, tired, and huge (LOL), if we exercise all these things will get much better. Believe me! My first pregnancy was easy as can be, no symptoms, no problems, tons of energy and felt great.

One of the biggest fears for most pregnant women for post partum is THE DREADED POOCH. I see it all the time and I remember before I had my first child and my friends were having kids. I would see them months after and they all still looked like they were 4-5 months pregnant.

Working out during pregnancy is not too different than when you are not pregnant. Of course you should decrease intensity a little, rest a little more, hydrate more, and not do certain exercises. And that is what I want to talk about today, what exercises to stay away from.

We all know and expect that when we are pregnant, our belly is going to grow......... But does anyone tell us about the expanding hips and butt? LOL Well, don't feel bad, the hips is normal.

The belly grows during pregnancy......... That's a given. But its not until you start approaching the second trimester that you start noticing the expansion of the hips and the rounding of the booty and girth of the thighs......LOL Now, the expansion of the hips is totally natural and has to happen, but you don't gave to gain a ton of weight and inches in the hips, butt and thighs just because you are pregnant.

Have you ever seen a woman that is carrying around a 1 or 2 year old but still looks like she is 4-5 months pregnant? Yup, thats the dreaded post-partum pooch and let me tell you why that happens........ During the 40 weeks of pregnancy, as the fetus gets bigger every organ and muscle in your midsection distends in order to make room for it.

I get it! You are pregnant, and you are tired...... Who wants to workout when you feel like you can barely peel your body off the bed or couch.

I have to say that I totally understand how hard it is to get active and moving and get your workout in when you are pregnant. I've been there! But the feeling you get after the workout and the benefits you get from it far outweigh the effort, so my prego sista, you have to just "man up", actually "superwoman up" and just commit to it.

Sometimes we are so tired when we are pregnant that even though we have every single intention to go to the gym for a workout, its like your body weighs a ton and you just can't peel yourself off the couch. I feel ya sista! Been there a million times during my pregnancy.

Pregnancy is no joke! It is an amazing gift that God gives us and there is no experience in the world like having that little angel in your belly for almost a year and then bringing him or her into this world. But man oh man is it tough.

Last week one of my pregos' emailed me saying that she was so happy to have found My Fit Mom-To Be Workouts because she thought that because she was pregnant, she was not going to be able to get good workouts in. She was afraid she was going to say Bye-Bye to her body forever. But my dear pregnant friend, it does not have to be that way!

Just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you have to be huge and flabby and feel yukky about yourself. Actually, if you exercise moderately and eat healthy throughout your pregnancy, you will feel great about yourself, enjoy your pregnancy and have a fit and fabulous 10 months. I did My Fit Mom-To-Be Workouts from the moment I found out I was pregnant until the day before I went into labor and I felt amazing, only gained 20lbs and lost 22lbs within 3 weeks of having my baby.

Even if you are not pregnant, flabby arms is something that bothers all of us women. It bothers us so much that sometimes we won't even wear a sleeveless shirt even if its 90 degrees out. When you are pregnant, it gets even harder to keep the flab off the back of the arm because your hormones are all out of whack and then add in there cravings and lack of activity and you've got a recipe for Flabby Arms LOL. Don't fret My Prego Friend, I have just the prenatal anti flabby arms w...

I was thinking of Jessica Simpson and her pregnancy because I saw her in a weight watchers commercial the other day. And I thought to myself........"What a shame, such a beautiful girl, and she used pregnancy as a chance to over eat and lose herself". It really is a shame because pregnancy is such a beautiful thing and it can be so enjoyable, but with 80lbs extra weight, who can enjoy anything?

Sure the belly is supposed to get bigger, but the entire body doesn't have to also. Exercising makes a huge difference in pregnancy. Aside from all the medical benefits and the postpartum benefits, exercising will prevent excess weight gain and also help you keep your booty and arms tight even while your belly is growing.

Why should the legs and thighs and hips get bigger just because your belly is expanding? Well, by default your hips do get wider for birthing purposes but you know what I mean. That's why I want to give you this great lower body pregnancy workout.

If every pregnant woman participated in a prenatal fitness program, there would be a heck of a lot more happy pregnant and post-partum women around. Not only does prenatal fitness help you prevent excess weight gain but it also increases your energy level, decreases unnecessary pains and discomforts and improves your mood. Doesn't that make you want to start a prenatal fitness program like yesterday?

Even though your belly is growing because you are pregnant, doesn't mean that you have to give up on your fitness and your body. You can totally be a fit pregnant woman and have slim and rock hard arms and legs even though your belly is getting bigger every day lol. If you don't use your pregnancy as a reason to binge and over indulge in food and CRAVINGS, and you eat pretty healthy, you can have a super fit pregnancy.

Obviously, its lucrative to gain weight during pregnancy in order to sustain the baby's life so just embrace the fact that you are going to gain some healthy weight so that your baby can grow in a healthy and apt environment.
