Lose Weight For Your Wedding

I know how hard it is to plan a wedding, work full time, eat right, and exercise. So, Im going to show you how to lose weight for wedding. It is a very stressful time so you want comfort in food!  Let’s break that habit right now!  Food isn’t going to give you comfort, well maybe instantaneous gratification, but 5 minutes later you will feel horrible.  Is it worth it??  Absolutely not!

So what do you have to do to lose weight for wedding?

It is so hard to make the right choice when you are starving and don’t have any healthy food available.  So what you are going to have to do is cook in bulks, and have it available.  Choose your lightest day and go to the grocery store to stock up on all your healthy ingredients, and do some bulk cooking.

What do I mean by bulk cooking?

Here are a couple examples.

Grocery store list:

  • Eggs
  • Fat-free cottage cheese
  • Tuna, chicken, shrimp, turkey
  • Sweet potatoes, lentils, brown rice
  • Oatmeal, cream of wheat, whole-wheat breads
  • Broccoli, squash, zucchini, asparagus, spinach, etc…
  • Spices, herbs, dressings, etc.
  • Tupperware’s

Cooking:

  • I usually will make one packet of lean ground turkey, 4 chicken breasts, a big tuna salad, and about a pound of grilled shrimp.
  • I also bake some sweet potatoes, make a big bowl of lentils, 2 cups of brown rice.
  • I also make a mix of veggies.

The trick is to find some yummy recipes that are healthy OF COURSE!  You have to be able to enjoy what you eat, if you don’t you will feel deprived and you will only last on “the plan” for a short period of time.

What to eat to lose weight for wedding??

You want to eat a protein, a carbohydrate, and a vegetable in small portions every 3-4 hours.

Below is an example of a day of meals:

Breakfast:  small bowl of oatmeal and 4 egg whites
Snack:  Apple and fat-free cottage cheese
Lunch:  Barbeque chicken, sweet potato with cinnamon, and grilled asparagus with feta cheese and sliced almonds.
Snack:  Oatmeal and egg white pancake (yummy)!!!!  Check out the recipe in my book “Vow to be Fit”.
Dinner:  Grilled shrimp, squash, and brown rice.

All you need to do is take a couple of minutes every night to plan the day ahead and figure out how many meals you need.  Packing your food for the day will not only save you money, but will also save you a ton of calories.  I did this throughout my entire engagement, and it really helped me lose fat, and get lean.  You can workout 7 days a week, but if your nutrition isn’t good, you will fail to see results.
