Keep The Weight Off During The Holidays

The Holiday’s are here! Woohoo!  At least woohoo about all the fun gifts, but not so much woohoo about all the weight people gain during this time!  I know this is something that most people struggle with, I just don’t understand why.  It’s just a few days that are holidays yet people choose to fall off the wagon for the whole month of December.

Why?

I think it’s what I always talk about……it’s the MIND SET!!!!  Instead of saying “I’ll just start my “DIET” in January, why not CHOOSE to eat healthy and exercise even more just because it is such a hard time.

So if you are tired of gaining weight during the holidays, and having to work extra hard in the New Year to get it off, this is what you are going to do.

  • Set a goal for the end of the month make it realistic, maybe your goal is to stay where you are and not gain one ounce of FAT!!!!
  • Commit to the goal:  Be specific (date and goal)
  • Set a plan for the month:  Be specific with nutrition and exercise.
  • Commit to the plan:  example:  commit to 3 days of weight-training and 3 days of cardio (NO MATTER WHAT)……walking around the mall is NOT CARDIO!  Commit to eating optimally unless you have a social gathering in which you commit to be MODERATE.
  • Plan as many meals as you can daily:  If you are going to events or social gatherings….be MODERATE.
  • Play around with your calories:  If you know you have a dinner party in the evening in which the choices might not be too good, cut down your calories during the day…….eat smaller portions, cut out the carbohydrate from a meal, etc.

Not gaining weight during the holidays is not that hard!  All you need is the right attitude and the right mind set.  Don’t be like most of the world who will gain a ton of weight during this time.  Take it upon yourself to lose fat during the Holiday’s!  Be different, be inspiring, set a precedent for every other year, be strong, be fit, be moderate!!

I believe in you, and I believe that you can do this!!!!!!  I look forward to the New Year and reading your success stories.  Don’t forget to e-mail me in January with how awesome you did during the holidays!
