Here Is How To STAY In Shape Or Even Lose Weight During The Holidays

Ok, Ladies, the Holidays are almost here.  From now until the first of the year, there is major weight gain all over the world.  So I am going to make sure that you stay on track and not only that but that you can even LOSE WEIGHT during the Holidays.

Don't worry, you are still going to be able to have fun and enjoy the Holidays but you are going to be looking FABULOUS.  And when January comes and people are struggling to lose the 10lbs they gained in a month you are going to be so happy that you are still on track.

For most Moms, the Holidays means the kids are home from school and you have party after party and event after event, and even family and friends staying in your home.  But don't fear!  With a little planning you are going to stay slim and trim during these Holidays.

Step 1: COMMIT to the amount of "bad foods and drinks"

Usually you know at least a week ahead if you have any parties or events.  So if you do, COMMIT to the amount of damage you are going to do.  For example:  Say you have a party on Friday, a work event on Saturday and a Kids Party or playdate on Sunday.  Well, if you don't think about it at all and don't commit, chances are you will allow yourself to eat poorly all of those days which at the end of a week could amount to a few pounds of weight gain.

Here is how I would COMMIT:

Ok, so Friday I am going out with my hubby to a Holiday party and I would like to have a glass of wine and I am not sure what type of food they will have.  So knowing that I will make sure to eat optimally all day and maybe eat a small meal or snack before I go to the party. Then at the party I will enjoy my wine and eat a SMALL portion of whatever the best choice and enjoy myself.

Saturday I COMMIT to not drinking but I do want to indulge in a few bites of a dessert.  This way if I COMMITTED prior to no drinking, the chances of giving in are slimmer.

Sunday I have a kids party so I will eat optimally all day and I won't drink but I may have a cheat meal at the party.  But usually I take a healthy snack with me and wait until I get home.  But you know what I mean.

If you don't commit, chances are you will probably OVER EAT, BINGE, and end up gaining a bunch of weight that you will later regret.  Remember, you can still have fun, enjoy the holidays, enjoy eating some "bad foods" as long as you do it in moderation.

Ok enough for today, stay tuned to STEP 2 & 3 of how to STAY IN SHAPE and even LOSE WEIGHT during the Holidays.
