Most people "mess up" their "diets" in the mid afternoon. Usually because they had an early lunch and since they are "dieting" or trying to "lose weight", they are trying to hold off as long as possible and try to make it straight through until dinner.... in order to not "consume more calories".

The biggest mistake I find people doing is skipping meals. Too much time goes by without eating. And I know people's mentality, trust me, being in this industry for over 15 years and working with hundreds and hundreds of people, I get it!

My trick to eating clean during the weekend is having some yummy and healthy treats in my fridge. So on Thursday or Friday, I always take a few minutes to whip up a recipe for a healthy snack. I can't tell you how much healthier I eat since I have been doing this.

As you can see, I love me some cookies, that is why I keep coming up with new ones for you. But for real, I'm not saying these should be your everyday snack but I make a yummy healthy treat like this on a weekly basis and use them when Im on the go and as a healthy indulgence on the weekends. Everyday, more and more I strongly believe in following a Gluten-Free diet. I just think that any food that causes diseases (Celiac) and diseases and sicknesses that can be cured by the absence of the food, should not be a part of our diet. Plus, I find that so many of my followers on My Facebook Page and Pinterest are also enjoying a Gluten-Free life. And since it is so easy these days to follow a gluten-free diet, why not? And how awesome that with such great ingredients these days, we can make any snack gluten-free and dairy-free, both ingredients that are inflammatory for digestion. I love cooking on Sundays. I'm not in a rush like during the week. So I make myself a cup of coffee and while Nico and hubby nap, I get in the kitchen and make some fun stuff for the week. I especially like to play around with some healthy recipes for easy and quick snacks for in between meals. This las Sunday I made this delicious Blueberry Crumble Squares. This one definitely beats the Dr. Oz Protein Cookies that I posted last week on My Pinterest Board.

These are a great snack to use on the go or even to have at home while your kids snack on their food. They refrigerate great for about a week and they freeze awesome also. And THEY ARE GLUTEN-FREE!
