I normally workout Monday through Friday and take the weekends off! This weekend we went to the keys with my husband’s cousins. They have been doing Cross Fit and are all into working out so they wanted me to train them and workout together. Even though I was super sore and had no workout clothes, we did a great workout.
I could have easily said NO! I mean, I could have slept a little longer, or got some more sun, or just RELAXED. But I didn’t, and I’m glad I did the workout, because not only did I feel great after the workout. It also put my mind in a good place so that I would eat healthy all day.
It was 3 girls and myself. None of us had workout clothes, nor sneakers. So we all put our bathing suits on with shorts, grabbed a towel and went under the tiki hut by the boat dock.
Check out our workout. We had no equipment, only towels and a few chairs.
Circuit #1 (3 sets)
- 20 speed squats
- 20 alternating forward lunges
- 20 split jumps
- 20 air squats (jump squats)
Circuit #2 (3 Sets): holy moly this was hard
- 10 explosive push-ups
- 10 push-ups
- 20 arm walks (up up down down)
- 20 alternating plank arm raises
- 20 burpees with a push-up
Circuit #3 (3 Sets)
- 20 Single leg hip extensions (1 foot on a chair) 1 ½ reps
- 20 Single leg reaches per side
- 20 Bowlers per side
After the workout, I set up all the food to take on the boat. I made sandwiches for everyone with Cuban bread, cheese, ham, turkey, etc., but I made myself a tuna sandwich on whole-wheat bread. I packed up all the chips and junk for everyone and made sure I took a lot of water and some chopped up fruit.
I hope that next time you have the opportunity to get a workout in, that you don’t pass it up, no matter what the circumstances are. Not only will you get a great workout and burn tons of calories, but it will mentally put you in a state that will make you want to eat healthy and make better choices.
Try this workout, it will kick your butt and you can do it from home with no equipment.
