Do you eat the same thing for breakfast every day? Maybe I should slow my self down, and ask if you even have breakfast? Actually, I don’t even wanna hear it! But if you don’t, I hope after today, you will!
Breakfast is a very important meal, well, every meal is important. But after sleeping for 6-9 hours a night, your body hasn’t been doing too much work. So it is important to eat as soon as you wake up so that your metabolism can jump start your caloric burn for the day. Remember, that WHEN YOU EAT, YOU BURN CALORIES!! So I am going to give you some "quick recipes" that you can use to get you going.
I have spoken to a ton of people who feel like to lose weight, you have to eat oatmeal and egg whites every day. Though oatmeal and egg whites is a great breakfast, it is not the end all be all! Check out these "quick recipes" for breakfast and you will love them.
Here are a few ways to change up your egg whites:
• Omelet with veggies
• Scrambled egg whites with veggies and fat-free cheese
• Hard boiled egg whites
• Muffins (bake in a muffin pan the eggwhites, veggies, and fat-free cheese), Yum!
Read below, I’m going to give you an awesome quick recipes to make a ton of omelets super fast.
Here are a few ideas to change up the oatmeal:
(always make it with water, not milk)
• Add a few berries
• Add cinnamon
• Blend it after you cook it! Yes sounds crazy, but it tastes totally different, it’s delicious!
• Get the Quaker Weight Control oatmeal: very tasty!
• Make a pancake with the egg whites and the oatmeal
So, yes this would be the most optimal breakfast, but here are a few others that are also great!
Quick Recipe Ideas

Egg Mc Muffin: 100% whole-wheat English muffin with egg white omelet and fat-free cheese
• High protein and carb waffles (ex: Kashi Go Lean): with sugar-free jelly and fat-free cottage cheese. Sounds weird, but YUMMY!
• Egg whites and a bowl of cream of wheat
• Egg whites and a bowl of grits
• Protein powder blended with oats and cinnamon or peanut butter (just a bit) you peanut butter lovers!
- Egg white sandwich with bread such as Ezekiel (made of oats, barley, lentils, etc.)
You get the picture! You can still eat healthy, but eat something different all the time! Enjoy what you eat! I certainly do! I love to eat, but that is because I can do so in a healthy and delicious and NOT BORING way!
Try this "Quick Recipe"- Omelet in a Bag:
Whisk however many egg whites you want with a splash of fat-free non-dairy milk. (depending on how many omelets you want to make). I’ve made up to 5 for the week at a time.
Chop a bunch of veggies. Ex: peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach, broccoli, squash, zucchini, etc.
Have a few shredded fat-free cheeses
Ziplock bags (however many omelets you want)
Boil a big pot with water.
Fill the little bags with egg whites, and each bag with whatever veggies and cheese you want. You can make them all the same or all different.
Zip it up and put then in the boiling pot of water. Wait about 5-7 minutes, and take them out. They will look like little burritos. So yummy! So Fast! NO FAT!
