Challenges Women Go Through & How To Conquer Them: A Must Read

AHHHHHH were should I start?

Now I am not putting down MEN by any means, but GOSH is it hard to be a woman!

We have to deal with our periods...... which leads to cramps, bloatedness, crankiness, water retention, weight gain, etc.

We have to take the dang PILL.....which changes our moods, makes us gain weight, gives us cellulite, etc.

We have to deal with 10 months of Pregnancy.......which leads to weight gain, mood swings, crankiness, tiredness, pain, uncomfortableness, all kinds of weird changes, etc.

We have to endure LABOR..... which there are no words to explain (you know what I mean).

We have to deal with Post-Partum STUFF:  episiotomy, bleeding, huge pads, ice, hemorrhoids, depression, pee every time you jump or run,  tiredness, lack of sleep, etc.

We are super moms and we are EXPECTED to still look HOT for our hubby's, want to go out and be social, PERFORM when you are so tired you can't keep your eyes open, work, clean the house, take care of the kids, cook, pay bills, run errands, etc.

Then we go through menopause...... hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain, etc.

HOLY MOLY!

If you are not HEALTHY all these things are much harder to endure, and if you are HEALTHY & FIT, all of these stages are MUCH EASIER & ACTUALLY ENJOYABLE.

If you change your mindset about all of these things you will be much better off.

Here are a few things I use:

When I have my PERIOD:

We already feel like crap, we are bloated, feel gross, have cramps, headache, back pain; and on top of that you have CRAVINGS?  Are you kidding me?  You are going to eat like crap for what?  So you can just get worse?  So you can gain weight and feel even ICKIER?  HECK NO!  I say to my period "EFF U", So I eat CLEANER, WORKOUT even if I have cramps, drink tons of water, don't give in to cravings (which is totally mental).  And I actually end up feeling better.  So instead of being like every other woman in the world, when yo have your period, tell it to go fly a kite and EAT CLEAN, EXERCISE, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER, AND GET SKINNIER ON YOUR PERIOD!  Now thats what I'm talking about!

When I was PREGNANT:

 32 WEEKS PREGO

I said to myself, "instead of making this pregnancy an excuse to eat unhealthy, over-eat, have mood swings and complain about everything, I am going to EMBRACE THIS PREGNANCY and everything that comes with it". I decided that every day of my pregnancy I was going to FEEL GREAT, HAVE ENERGY, NOT COMPLAIN, LOVE MY GROWING HIPS AND BELLY, and thank God for the incredible blessing inside my belly.  I ate healthy throughout my entire pregnancy, I worked out until the day before I went into labor, and I only gained 20lbs, I felt amazing, I loved being pregnant!  Actually other than my belly growing and feeling the baby move, I didn't even feel like I was pregnant!  And this isn't because Im some sort of special person.  It's because I had the RIGHT MINDSET!  I decided to embrace my pregnancy, embrace my changing and growing body, EAT CLEAN & EXERCISE, and not make excuses.

If you change your MINDSET about all these things we go through and you embrace them all with some LOVE, CLEAN EATING, AND EXERCISE, you will be much happier.

By the way, today I woke up at 4:20am for my first client with CRAZY BAD CRAMPS.  I still worked out and felt better, and my awesome colleague and super trainer Sylvia Ferrero served me up a great CONCOCTION FOR CRAMPS, you have to try it out.  My cramps were gone in LITERALLY MINUTES!

Awesome post Michelle!!! That's the way we as women have to deal with every day life. We have two options as you said: to FEEL GOOD or feel like crap. Its an every day journey.... and I saw your process by saying YES to feel AMAZING every day of that beautifull pregnancy of yours.
BTW The Multivitamin, the omega 3 and the Max Stress B supplements helps me also with my premenopause. I feel like 25... LOL
