Your wedding day is coming up, and you want the best bride diet out there. Well, if you know me or read my articles, you know that I don’t believe diets work. What I do believe in is eating right, making the best possible choices, eating foods that speed metabolism so that you can burn calories all day long, curbing calories, etc.
Seeming that this is such an important event and you must look your absolute best, I am going to give you a hard core eating strategy. Please only try this is you have already been eating “right” for at least 4-8 weeks. By “eating right” I mean, a lean protein, a starchy carbohydrate, and a fibrous vegetable every 3-4 hours.
• Alternate 2 “protein days” with 1 day of “eating right”.
• What is a protein day?
On this day you will eat protein and carbohydrates for breakfast. In every other meal, you will no eat ANY carbohydrates. You will only eat protein and vegetables.
• You will have 1 cheat meal on the last day of the week.
Example of a week for Hardcore Bride Diet:
MONDAY & TUESDAY: Protein days
WEDNESDAY: Normal day
THURSDAY & FRIDAY: Protein days
SATURDAY: Normal day
SUNDAY: Protein day and 1 cheat meal
The Trick:
On your protein days it will be crucial for you to have plenty of vegetables available. And I mean good sources of vegetables…….Lettuce and salads will not do it, they have barely any nutrients, no fiber, and your blood sugar will get low in no time and you will crave SUGAR!
Take one or two days of the week and pre-cook a ton of veggies. Examples: Zucchini, squash, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, spinach etc.
If you are making salads, add arugula, spinach, and watercress to the lettuce as it has more nutrients. If you are eating every 3-4 hours protein and veggies you will be fine. As soon as you allow yourself to get hungry is when you will fail because blood sugar drops which leads to cravings. If you do not allow yourself to get hungry….you will be totally ok! So prepare to cook and have it all available!
