With vacation nearing, I decided to step it up even more in an attempt to increase fat loss and be ready for our vacation.
So, our diet the last 2 weeks had consisted of 2 protein/fire days with 1 optimal/fuel day. To step it up, we alternated 3 protein/fire days with 1 optimal/fuel day for the last 2 weeks.
I held strong until the last day, but hubby kind of quit about a week and a half ago, but I am so proud of him because that is the longest he has ever "dieted" for. And I am excited that he wants to continue eating super healthy when we get back from vacation.
It's been 8 weeks and I have to say it was quite enjoyable and pretty easy! I never felt like I was dieting and I enjoyed every single meal. I really think that is the trick! Well, prepping and preparing is also just as important. Especially for those fire days, as long as I had my veggies and snacks prepped, it was a breeze.
My Protein/Fire Day Snacks consisted mainly of:
- Spinach Turkey Meatballs
- Veggie Quiches
- Veggie Frittatas
- Tuna Salad
- Egg White and Avocado Salad
My Optimal/Fuel Day Snacks consisted mainly of:
- BeFit Muffins
- Fruit & Cashews or Almonds
- Leftover's from another meal
It really was simple, easy and enjoyable. And it was sooooo much more MOTIVATING to do because I had a specific goal and date. It was exactly 8 weeks. Its so much easier to eat clean and train hard when you have a GOAL. So my advice to you is set a goal: a vacation, a party, a reunion, a wedding, the holidays....... set a specific date and make a specific plan. It will be so much easier and more fun!

I am going to tell you right now that I am going to eat French pastries, Italian food and I am going to have me some wine! And I am not going to feel bad about it! I am taking some traveling equipment to workout while I am there, so maybe I will surprise you with my European Workouts! Stay tuned!
