My husband, Danny; committed to doing the Lean & Mean Challenge with me. This is a 12-week body transformation challenge.
What do you have to do?
You have to eat right, and exercise, and commit to getting in better shape than you are now. Having Danny on board makes my life so much easier. I mean……the guy sits in bed at night crunching on some FROSTED FLAKES, or PITA CHIPS, a big glass of coke, or devouring a delicious SNICKERS ICE CREAM BAR. Talk about having to have WILL POWER.
But now that he’s committed to this challenge, it will be a lot easier for me to eat even better than I already do. So ladies, if you can, get your hubby to jump on board with you! It will help a ton!
Danny hasn’t been able to work out since we had Nicholas because he takes care of him in the morning while I go to work. So we have been doing quick workouts at home. He doesn’t love to workout, so I make them short, sweet, and intense. So if you complain that YOU DON’T HAVE TIME……….YOU DO! You can take 20 minutes for a quick workout.
The other night we were about to work out around 7pm before putting Nicholas to bed, but I had a kitchen disaster…….. DON’T ASK!!!! It took me 1 hour to clean up and then had to put baby to sleep. As I walked out Danny had his head phones on, his workout clothes on and READY! OMG! It was 8:30pm and I had been up since 4am, the last thing I wanted to do is workout, but WE DID!
We did 3 sets of a long circuit, with no rest! It burned like hell but it was quick and we got it done. Here it goes, try it out. You can do this from home. We have some dumbbells, but not heavy so we do a lot of reps, a cable contraption called jungle gym (like a TRX), and a stability ball.

20-MINUTE ARMS WORKOUT
- 20 Dumbbell Shoulder press
- 20 Lateral raises
- 20 Front raises
- 20 Stability Ball Dumbbell skull crushers
- 20 Dips (on my family room coffee table, feet on stability ball)
- 20 Overhead extensions on jungle gym (you can do close grip pushups instead)
- 20 Dumbbell bicep curls
- 20 Dumbbell hammer curls
- 20 Hanging bicep curls (on jungle gym, you can do tubing bicep curls)
Rest for 45 seconds and repeat for a total of 2 or 3 sets.
This killed our arms, we were both sore the next day. It’s a lot of exercises in a row, but hey we were pressed for time, exhausted and wanted to get it over with. And we did…….. in 20 minutes.
So next time you think you don’t have time, try this workout!
The results are so worth it!
