1-Week HARD CORE NUTRITION Plan + a Great Recipe

This past weekend my friend, Super Trainer and Super Model Greg Avedon did a photo shoot of Nicholas and myself for my new website.  Greg is a phenomenal photographer by the way!

Now even though I have been eating great and exercising consistently, I decided to step it up this last week.  Here is my plan courtesy of Billy Beck III:

Monday: Thermic Meals (refer to the blog on thermic meals) every 3 hours.

Tuesday through Thursday:  Thermic Meals minus the Carbs every 3 hours.

Friday: Thermic Meals every 3 hours.

Saturday: photoshoot.

Looks easy, but it’s not, if you are not prepared.

So guess what I did on Sunday?

Yup!  I cooked up a storm, and I did it in about 35-40 minutes.

Here is my plan:

I roasted:

  • 2 heads of broccoli with Mrs. Dash Italian blend.
  • 1lb of aspragus with toasted almonds and grill seasoning.
  • 2 eggplants, sliced in rounds with grill seasoning.
  • 1lb brussel sprouts with toasted walnuts.

This took about 5 minutes to chop and 25 minutes in the oven.

I baked:

  • 2 dozen Veggie Quiches (new recipe from the latest Eat to be Fit cooking class-so YUM).
  • 1 dozen Nutty Banana Millet Muffins

This took about 5-10 minutes to put together and 25 minutes in the oven.

I also made a menu for the whole week for my protein since I had all my veggies and snacks prepped.

Monday:

Turkey Chili

Tuesday:

Walnut Crusted chicken (click here for recipe)

Wednesday:

Spinach turkey meatballs

Thursday:

Baked Tilapia with spinach, lemon juice, parsley, garlic

Friday:

Sesame Chicken

With a plan, even the hardest eating plan can be easy!  What most people would think is a hard and boring week because of the lack of carbohydrates, I made it a great and enjoyable week with tons of yummy vegetables, delicious snacks and great protein dishes.

I am so glad I pre-made all that food.  I was prepared for every single meal.  Never missed a meal, never felt hungry, and I actually enjoyed every single meal.

I hope this motivates you to do some planning and get cooking so that you can see some amazing results.

To see pictures of the result, check my facebook!  It's nothing more than a good plan, time set aside for planning and cooking, and a little bit of will power.  I know you can do it!

We never go without the DDP. I hglhiy recommend it! My favorite snack is a Dole Whip Float in the Magic Kingdom. Our favorite quick-service place to eat is Pizza Planet in DHS. And, there is NO WAY we could choose one favorite table-service place to eat. Several of our favorites include breakfast at Akershus, breakfast or dinner at 1900 Park Fare, dinner at O'Hana, and lunch or dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe! I'm loving your countdown posts!

Cath Thanks! Some things are easy to evaluate, without the science. I thought the fasting would be one of those things, but I was wrong. I m glad this helped. Jerry Glad you liked! I had noticed that you are into the Primal living lifestyle from your blog. Some of those ideas make sense to me. And I can confirm, from having done a couple of fasts that you can actually feel good after a period of fasting. Like many have noted, we are used to eating out of habit rather than hunger much of the time. It s good to get past that, at least on occasion. I will be interested to follow your progress, and thanks for sharing the link to Mark s site.
